Painted and scaffolding off

Another reno started 22a

Saw a skip being brought in. Later found out that it belongs to 22a. Another one starting reno.

Rendering plaster

Not working on Sunday so definitely not rushing for CNY. They have completed rendering the plaster and cement on the brick walls for the ground floor extension.

9th in

26 is the 9th to be in. Did a lot of inner renovation but did not extend the back of the house. Started work since July 2009 and the extensive work took more than 6 months. Finally they are in.

All done and moved in

On Monday 18 Jan 2010, I met an old lady at this house at the extended portion of the house. I asked her when did they move in and she said since last week. I assume that they moved in during the weekend of 16-17 Jan 2010.

The extended portion was only painted with orange paint on 21 Jan 2010. Many people chose an auspicious day to move in although the house may not be ready. They will just carry out a ceremony to symbolize that they have moved in. I assume that this is the case too.

Renovation work started on 17 Dec 2009 and they moved in during the weekend of 16-17 Jan 2010 which means all the renovation work was done in just one month. This is very, very fast work.

Balcony roof is up

They have also put up the roof for the 2nd floor balcony. There is still no door way from the house to the new balcony. I assume that they will convert a window into a door.

Plastered 3 floors

The red bricks have been rendered with plaster.

Aircons

The window leaves have been installed and also the air conditioner units have been installed too. All the cement bars for the other window have also been fixed.

Bricked up with roof

The indent has been totally bricked up for all 3 floors and is now covered with a roof.

Roofed up

Start of day - area that has been bricked up has no roof.

During the day - putting up the roof beams.

End of day - Roof beams and tiles have been installed.

Window frame and cement bars in

The metal window frame has been installed for one of the window. For the other window, they are fixing cement bars to the window opening at regular intervals and has not completed putting all the bars in.

Start of the day - 2 floors bricked up.

End of the day - all 3 floors bricked up.

Another floor bricked up

Back all nicely plastered

They are now working on drilling small indents into the inner walls in order to put tiles later so it is noisy.

Extending all 3 floors

Looks like they are covering all 3 floors of the indent.

At the close of working hours, this much has been done. The 2nd floor indent walled up and 2 pillars erected.

Tiling Wet Kitchen

They are now putting in tiles to the wet kitchen. Beige and Brown Tiles. Very noisy when they cut the tiles to size.

They started work early Sunday morning. Must be rushing for CNY. The roof must have been put up yesterday on Jan 2 2010.
