Started defects rectification

As agreed, the defects rectification work started on our house today. Renovation work next door is still on going and is expected to be completed in two months time.

Ground floor modification

Our next door neighbour have obtained approval from the local authority on 22 July 2009 for a back extension. The front door of the house will also be moved. Work has already started. The fence at the back has been removed and three holes have been dug.

Neighbour started renovation

Our next door neighbour has started renovation work. Workers have stripped all the tiles from the walls and floors of two bathrooms and removed all the fittings. One of the bathroom is located in the main bedroom on the highest floor and the other bathroom is located in the larger bedroom on the first floor. The tiles in the other bathroom located on the first floor was not removed.

Submitted our list

Finally, this is the day that we submitted our defect list which consisted of minor issues. We were told that work to fix the minor defects will only start next week.

Bags of broken tiles

When we were over at the house today, there were bags of broken tiles outside the gate next door. It was obvious that the defects rectification work has been on going.

Defects rectification

Today when we went to the house for a visit, we noticed that defects rectification work has started next door. They were working on the floor tiles in the living room. We have not submitted our defect lists yet as we were waiting for the water supply. Seeing that the water supply is not in sight yet, we decided to not wait anymore but to submit the list next week.
