Add-ons to gate

This place is doing major renovations. Started in July 2009 and till now, not completed because they removed all existing tiles and some of the walls and repartitioned the place. Now they made the existing gate bigger by soldering on additional ironworks.

Another reno started

Reno started since ? (should be just recently because not much work has been done) on an end lot house.

Digging up the ground of the side indent and removing the tiles beside it.

A different way of doing things. Started by destroying the external walls of the wet kitchen. Will they be doing back extension? Normally the back extension will be constructed first and then the existing external wall is then destroyed, not like this.

Back portion lots done

Quite a lot of work done for the back extension.

Walling up the indent

Looks like they are walling up the indent. Will it be only for the ground floor or all 3 floors? Must be having a very large family living there to extend the side of the house as well.

Roof beams and plastering

The roof beams are up and they have started to render the plaster.

Cover for cy

The De Skylight employees returned on 28 and 29 Dec 09 to put up the cover for the awning and also the upright "tunnel" in the house.

8th in?

The place does not looked occupied but with the red cloth over the main door, it should signified that the occupants have moved in, right? So if it is true, then they are the 8th to be in (19).

Grey bricks up at back

Worked even on Xmas day. I wonder do they plan to move in before CNY? I don't think that there is enough time to complete the reno by CNY.

14 starts reno on Xmas day

It was surprising to see reno work started on Xmas day. When was the sale made? How come the vacant possession can be handed over so fast? Must remember to ask about this.

Bricks then top frame

9 days into reno, they put the bottom frame up, then the bricks, then the top frame. Different from 6of6reno where the whole frame (bottom and top) was built before filling in the bricks.

8 of 5 started reno

Started work on Christmas eve. Dug up the ground and did a few iron pillar frames. Looks like they are extending the wet kitchen backwards and sideways.

Two days back, on Thursday 17 Dec 09, 8 of 6 started its back extension work. The photo below shows the status as at today.

after 2 months of stress.

7th in

21 moved in today.

Iron curtain rings

Got some nice iron curtain rings, 10pieces per pack. I got silver plated ones when there is another colour choice which is black. It is distributed by www.eadeco-online.com and I bought it at Akemi shop in Sunway Pyramid. Forgot how much it is. I think it is about RM9 per pack. I will need to get more packs someday because now I am using the minimal.

6th in

12 moved in today. Gramps, elderly man, woman, 3 teenagers, 2 girls and 1 boy.

5th to move in

9 moved in today although 12 was already handed over to the family by the contractor on Nov 17. Heard children playing in the evening, really loud. So 5 houses occupied now.

Work started for another back extension.

4th to move in

Today moved in.

Street 5 status

Still 3 houses occupied - 3, 11, 20. Four houses are actively renovating - 9, 12, CKS, and Cat. Wonder which one of them will move in first. I think it is between 9 and 12 as 12 has installed alarm system and grilles and 9 has changed the colour of the house from yellow/orange to light bluish grey.

2nd and 3rd moved in

Over yesterday Sat and today, 3 and 11 moved in so 3 houses occupied now.

Or 1 month, 30 days excluding the end date from start reno to move in - really fast.

Street Status

As of 16 Sep 09:

1. 1 family has moved in yesterday (H).
2. At least 3 houses are doing quite extensive renovation:
a) one nearly completed.
b) one taking out all timber flooring.
c) one mixing cement in the porch.
3. 2 more are doing fixtures:
a) installing cabinets.
b) installing lights.
4. An unknown numbers are having their defect lists rectified.

So hopefully by the end of Oct 09, there will be at least 3 households living in this street.
